Main Research areas

Technology and equipment for arc additive manufacturing and remanufacturing for large mold/component under complex/extreme conditions;

Multi-field and multi-scale dynamic coupling simulation of complex forming process (Plasticity, Welding, Powder, Additive Manufacturing);

Big data and intelligent planning system for forming process; Scene virtual reality;

Simulation and intelligent diagnosis during the service process of equipment under complex/extreme conditions;

Research projects

Presided over and undertook more than 30 projects, including 3 projects with more than 1 million yuan, with total funds of more than 10 million yuan.

Publications & Patents

Published 65 SCI papers, one monograph, one associate editor's series, three times participated in the compilation of Research Report on the Development of China Forging Industry, and three times entries in Encyclopedia of China, participated in the compilation of forging manual (4th Edition) have been obtained.

Research team

Chongqing University Mould Research & Development Center, Chongqing Key Laboratory of Advanced Mold Intelligent Manufacturing, Machinery Industry Key Laboratory of Additive Manufacturing Technology for Long Life Mold. The base has a total of 11 teachers including 6 professors. supervisors, and more than 110 master and doctoral students.

At present, there are 9 masters and doctoral students are studying, and 42 students have obtained master's degrees under my independent supervision. A distinctive training mode has formed: focusing on cultivating the diversified teaching and training mode and practice of advanced computational analysis talents of plastic forming to solve complex engineering problems (preside over the research project of Chongqing Postgraduate Education and Teaching Reform), emphasizing the integration and innovation of multiple methods, and finally forming the ability to understand by analogy. The graduates' employment covers aviation, aerospace, energy, universities, intellectual property offices, etc. Some students have served as senior leaders.
