Introduction about Alumnus Mr.Wang Jiayou
Mr. Wang Jiyou, male, born in Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province in August 1963, Han Nationality, graduated from Chongqing University, doctor, postdoctoral, professor, doctoral supervisor (Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics and Jiangsu University of Science & Technology)
He is currently a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the chairman of Democratic Nationalist Party committee of Zhenjiang City.Vice President of Jiangsu University of Science & Technology.
Personal Experience: from September 1981 to July 1985, majored in welding in Chongqing University, obtained bachelor's degree in engineering. From September 1985 to April 1988, studied as a master of engineering in Chongqing University, majoring in welding. From May 1997 to March 2000, studied as a doctoral candidate in production engineering in Japan (National) Kunma University, and obtained the doctorate degree in engineering;April 2000 -- August 2000 Foreign researcher, Qunma University, Japan;From September 2001 to September 2003, he was employed as a special foreign researcher (postdoctoral fellow) at the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Education & Science, Japan.From March 1993 to April 1997, he served as deputy director of Welding & Materials Department of East China Institute of Shipbuilding. From October 2003 to August 2009, he served as dean of Materials Science & Engineering College of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.Since August 2009, he has been vice president of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
Mr.Wang Jiyou was appointed to the 12th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at the 20th Standing Committee Meeting of the 11th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC on January 17, 2018.
Mr.Wang is mainly engaged in welding technology and equipment teaching and research work.He has presided over the completion of more than 10 research projects commissioned by national, provincial and large enterprises including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 40 academic papers (including more than 20 SCI, EI and ISTP), applied for and obtained 4 national invention patents.He has won 1 second prize and 3 third prizes of scientific and technological progress with provincial and ministerial level, 2 second prizes and 5 third prizes of national institute of Science and Technology, and 2 third prizes of provincial level teaching.
As the first person in charge, he won two second prizes of provincial (ministerial, national defense, military) science and technology, seven third prizes, and two first prizes of municipal science and technology.He has obtained 10 national patents, completed more than 20 major science and technology projects at the provincial and ministerial level, national defense pre-research, military industry and enterprises. His 15 scientific and technological achievements have passed provincial and ministerial appraisals respectively. Under his guidance, students used to win the second and third prizes in the National Science & Technology Competition for College Students. Mr. Wang was warded with the first prize of outstanding contribution of science and technology personnel.
