Introduction about Alumnae Luo Ruixue.

Born in 1983 to a worker's family in Banan District, Chonging City, Miss Luo Ruixue was admitted  into Chongqing University in 2000, majoring in materials science. After graduation, she gave up a better working condition and took the initiative to exercise at the grass-roots level, determined to serve the broad masses and benefit the local people.

She once told reporters: "In the course of rural poverty alleviation, I learned tenacity from the farmers. From the countryside back to the city, citizens and jobs are my teachers, from them I learned humility.No matter what position a person is in, as long as one sticks to one’s own responsibility and pursuit, he (she) can also contribute to social development."

In June 2007, Luo Ruixue, a 24-year-old county poverty relief office cadre, took a temporary post as deputy Party secretary of the village branch in Fuxing Village, a poverty-stricken village. On her first day on the job, she saw the poor condition of the village and felt a strong shock that she had never experienced before.She regarded the road building as her first battle, and raised RMB450,000 yuan to build it.The construction project lasted for more than 4 months, after the concerted efforts of the whole village, villagers overcame one after another construction difficulties, and at New Year's Day in 2008, Fuxing village road highway with a full length of 24 kilometers was finally completed.

She then adjusted the unreasonable industrial structure again, and strived to raise fund and to win technical support from relevant units. She successfully helped introduce and developed 2,280 mu of alpine vegetables, which alone realized annual output value of RMB3.65 million yuan and per capita income of RMB2,620 yuan. The once poor village, since then has embarked on a bright road to revival.

In February 2011, she was transferred from Wulong County to Jiulongpo District to work in the Development & Reform Commission, responsible for "handling documents" in the administrative service hall.However, as she sat at the no. 1 window at the entrance, when many citizens could not find their way through the door and always interrupted her work, but she always patiently guided them and showed way for them.

From "an official of a village" to "window service personnel", and without the titles of "excellence" and "model", Miss Luo Ruixue has successfully undergone a remolding of ordinary low-key self with modest smile, helpful personality, rigorous and pragmatic style,

On September 9, 2009, Miss Luo Ruixue went to Beijing to be honored as a national figure of poverty alleviation and development.

On the evening of February 22, 2011, the "2010 Top Ten Persons Who Moved Chongqing" award ceremony was held grandly in the studio of Chongqing Broadcasting and Television Station. Miss Luo Ruixue was one of the winners. Her citation is "There is a kind of strength called youth; there is a kind of youth called tenacity.Six years ago, she went into the mountains, with the shoulders of a young college graduate, shouldering poverty, loneliness, and the hopes of Fuxing Village, simultaneously shouldering the faith and pursuit of the generation born in post-80s. The Moon and auspicious snow witnessed her efforts in her youthful years.”
